Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with all regulatory filings.
Support responding to State Department of Insurance data calls, complaints, market conduct examinations, and other inquiries.
Provide initial intake for insurance department complaints, investigate and gather relevant information, work with responsible attorney to draft response and ensure timely filing and follow-up.
Assist with RLI intellectual property applications and filings.
Administer all aspects of the Law Department’s file management system.
Provide support for non-claim litigation and collections actions (including bankruptcy matters) referred to the Law Department, and provide support at direction of responsible attorney(s).
Provide administrative support related to the core responsibilities provided above.
Education & Experience
Typically requires an Associates’ degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) and 5+ years of experience (insurance, regulatory, or compliance experience preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies
Ability to use analytical methods in legal matters to find creative yet workable solutions.
Strong legal research skills.
Strong writing skills and ability to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external contacts.
Proficient in Word & Excel.
