On October 1, 1977, Prairie State Legal Services, Inc. began serving clients in five counties: Kane, Lake, McLean, Peoria, and Winnebago.
The mission of Prairie State Legal Services is to ensure equal access to justice and fair treatment under the law by providing legal advice and representation, advocacy, education, and outreach that serve to protect basic human needs and enforce or uphold rights.
Prairie State Legal Services has always been a great place for Legal Studies graduates to work or students to seek valuable experience as an Intern.
